China to holds World’s most important event early next month

BEIJING (INP): China has prepared all the arrangements to hold World’s most important event (G20) summit early next month in its eastern city of Hangzhou, the Foreign Ministry announced.
Vice Foreign Minister Li Baodong, along with other Chinese top officials said here at news briefing that President Xi Jinping will formally inaugurate the summit to be attended by Head of States and Governments from the member countries.
Li Baodong pointed out that the Hangzhou Summit, being held on Sept. 4 and 5 is the most important home-field diplomacy of China this year, and it is also the international summit with the highest level, the largest scale and the most profound influence hosted by China in recent years, attracting global attention.
By hosting the summit, we hope to achieve some important goals exploring impetus for the world economy, enhancing international economic cooperation and carrying forward the partnership spirit of helping each other in times of trouble to jointly deal with risks and challenges as well as send the strong signal of unity, openness, inclusiveness and cooperation.
The summit will provide a solid guarantee for the G20 to transform from a crisis response mechanism into a long-acting governance mechanism.
China, the Minister said has devoted hard efforts and made event arrangement as well as meeting preparation with unique Chinesecharacteristics in order to ensure the success of the Hangzhou Summit.
This year’s G20 summit features a theme of “Toward an Innovative, Invigorated, Interconnected and Inclusive World Economy.”
President Xi Jinping will attend the opening ceremony of the B20 Summit and deliver a keynote speech. He will also hold bilateral meetings with leaders of relevant countries, exchanging views on summit agendas, bilateral relations and international and regional issues of common concern.
Vice Finance Minister Zhu Guangyao said on the occasion that the G20 Hangzhou Summit is of great significance for the strong, sustainable and balanced growth of global economy.
As the current world economy is complicated and changeable, the international community pays high attention to the summit, and expects the summit to play a greater role in promoting global economic growth, safeguarding international finance stability and dealing with risks and challenges.
