PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Saturday assigned portfolios to 13 members of the cabinet.
A notification issued by the cabinet wing of the administration department stated that under the sub-rule of KP Rules of Business 1985, the Chief Minister has assigned the cabinet berths to the newly formed members of the provincial cabinet.
It said that Meena Khan Afridi has been allotted the portfolio of local government, elections and rural development.
Similarly, Arshad Ayub Khan has been assigned the portfolio of minister for elementary and secondary education.
Besides, Fazal Shakoor Khan has been given the ministry of public health engineering. Dr. Amjad Ali has been appointed minister for housing.
Aftab Alam has been designated minister for law, parliamentary affairs and human rights. Syed Fakhar Jahan has been named minister for excise, taxation and narcotics control.
Mr Riaz Khan has been appointed minister for irrigation and Khaliq-ur-Rehman has been assigned the portfolio of minister for health.
Aqibullah Khan will serve as minister for relief, rehabilitation and resettlement.
Faisal Khan Tarakai has been named Minister for Labour.
In addition, Muzammil Aslam has been appointed Advisor to the Chief Minister on finance, Taj Muhammad Tarand as Advisor for sports and youth affairs.
Shafiullah Jan has been appointed as special assistant to the Chief Minister for information.
