PESHAWAR
An important meeting of the supervisory committee on outsources hospitals in Newly Merged Area (NMAs) held here on Friday with Advisor to the Chief Minister on Health Dr Riaz Anwar in the chair.
Caretaker ministers Rasool Ahmad Bangash, Masood Ahmad Shah, Aamir Durrani, Secretary Law Shaughta Malik, Secretary Health Mehmood Aslam, Additional Secretary Excise Wajid Ali, Managing Director (MD) Health Foundation Dr. Adnan Taj, Director General (DG) Health Dr. Shaukat Ali, Chief HSRU Dr. Shaheen Afridi and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
MD Health Foundation Dr. Adnan Taj briefed the forum on the facilities to be provided in outsourced hospitals, contracts made with private partners, funding availability and other important issues.
In the meeting, views were also expressed on the approval of the decisions taken in the cabinet and formulation of procedures for their implementation.
The forum also discussed in detail matters related to funds for the hospitals and mechanism for compensations for the hospitals of the NMAs.
Advisor Health Dr Riaz Anwar on this occasion issued instructions to MD Health Foundation to present a briefing regarding the contract award to all the participants in the next meeting.
The chair also directed the concerned officials to present a detailed report before the forum about the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) inquiry regarding these hospitals and other relevant information.
