Fard to be available at NADRA e-Sahulat centres next week: Officials
DLP Report
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has approved in principle a plan to provide land ownership records, commonly known as Fard, through NADRA e-Sahulat centres from next week.
Chairing a meeting on reforms in the Revenue Department on Thursday, the chief minister directed officials to launch the service without delay, saying it would save citizens the trouble of visiting government offices.
Provincial Revenue Minister Tariq Mahmood Aryani, Senior Member Board of Revenue and other senior officials attended the meeting.
Under the new arrangement, people will be able to obtain Fard both from the Revenue Department’s existing service delivery centres and NADRA e-Sahulat centres. The official fee and other applicable charges will be collected through cashless payment mechanisms.
Mr Afridi said the initiative was aimed at making public services more accessible and improving transparency and efficiency. “We believe in citizen-centric governance, and ensuring accessible public services at the doorstep of citizens remains one of our key priorities,” he said.
The meeting was also briefed on the draft Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Land Acquisition Bill, 2026. The chief minister directed officials to include provisions aimed at preventing unnecessary delays in land acquisition and to finalise the bill at the earliest for submission to the relevant forums.
He said the proposed legislation was in line with the vision of PTI founder Imran Khan and would place public interest at the centre of the land acquisition process.
The chief minister said the provincial government would continue institutional and administrative reforms to address public grievances and improve service delivery.
