Afridi opens app, dashboard and online complaint systems in Peshawar

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Thursday launched a set of digital policing platforms aimed at providing 24 police services online and improving oversight of field operations.
Provincial Minister for Information Shafi Jan, Special Assistant to the CM for Home and Tribal Affairs Tariq Saeed, Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed and other officials attended the ceremony.
Speaking at the Central Police Office, the chief minister inaugurated the Police Sahulat Markaz (PSM) Global App, the Kinetic Police Action Dashboard, and several portals for FIR registration, complaints and document verification.
The PSM App will allow citizens to access police services through a single digital platform. A separate PSM Global platform has been introduced for overseas Pakistanis and residents outside the province to use the services remotely.
The Kinetic Police Action Dashboard, officials said, would function as a centralised monitoring system for real-time tracking, province-wide reporting and data-driven decision-making.
Other platforms launched include a digital FIR system, an online complaints management system accessible via helpline, WhatsApp, Facebook and SMS, and a portal for missing children, “Talash e Gumshuda”. A separate system was also introduced for complaints related to gender-based violence.
For public safety, a “Pink Button” emergency feature was launched to provide rapid assistance, particularly for women and children. The government also introduced online issuance of police character and clearance certificates with biometric verification and digital payment, as well as a streamlined system for obtaining and renewing digital driving licences.
Dedicated complaint portals for transgender and minority communities were also established.
Mr Afridi directed the authorities to run a public awareness campaign on the new services and ensure continuous monitoring for effective implementation. He said the initiatives would bring police services closer to citizens and improve transparency and accountability.
The chief minister was presented a guard of honour on arrival and laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial before offering Fateha.
