LAHORE
Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has decided to distribute free solar panel among power consumers using electricity upto 200 units per month from August 14.
People using electricity from 201 to 500 units per month will be provided solar panel on the payment of 10 percent of compensation by them . The remaining 90 percent payment will be made by Punjab government which will have to be returned by the consumers free of interest within 5 years.
The solar panels will be provided through banks.
Punjab government has worked out all the details of scheme for providing solar panels.
The consumption of electricity will be reduced by 40 percent due to provision of solar panel to the consumers.
CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz has said in this regard that extending relief to people is her mission.
