Reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability, Coca-Cola Pakistan contributed 5,000 indigenous trees for Islamabad’s largest tree plantation drive of the season under the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination’s Upscaling Green Pakistan Programme.
The plantation activity was held at F-6/3 Park, Islamabad, in collaboration with the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA) and the Capital Development Authority (CDA). Federal Minister for Climate Change Dr. Musadik Malik, senior officials from Coca-Cola Pakistan and Coca-Cola Icecek (CCI), along with youth volunteers and citizens, participated in the tree planting ceremony.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Musadik Malik highlighted the importance of sustained afforestation efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and strengthen Pakistan’s climate resilience.
He appreciated Coca-Cola Pakistan’s contribution and encouraged greater participation from the corporate sector in supporting environmental initiatives.
Dr. Faisal Hashmi, Senior Director, Coca-Cola Pakistan, said the initiative reflects the power of collaboration in driving practical climate action and supporting healthier ecosystems for future generations.
The initiative builds on Coca-Cola Pakistan’s broader environmental efforts, including recycled plastic infrastructure projects, waste management support, water stewardship, and nationwide plantation campaigns. To date, Coca-Cola System has contributed more than 250,000 trees across Pakistan.
