Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Motasim Billah Shah has paid surprise visits to multiple public hospitals in Kohat and Karak districts ahead of the Eid al-Fitr, reviewing healthcare services, availability of medicines and staff attendance.
Accompanied by the concerned Deputy Commissioners, District Health Officers and Medical Superintendents, the Commissioner inspected key hospital units including X-ray, ECG, laboratories, blood banks and emergency wards.
He assessed the functionality of medical equipments, cleanliness conditions and the presence of healthcare staff.
During the visits, Shah also interacted with the patients and their attendants to gather feedback on facilities.
He expressed satisfaction over the staff attendance and availability of medicines, while directing hospital administrations to ensure uninterrupted and quality healthcare services, particularly during the Eid holidays.
Meanwhile, Syed Shah who has been designated as focal person by the Peshawar High Court for matters related to the Indus Highway, also reviewed the ongoing construction work along the Highway. Deputy Commissioner Karak Asad Sarwar, officials from the National Highway Authority and project consultants were also present.
The Commissioner directed the authorities to complete the underpasses and remaining work within stipulated time while maintaining high construction standards.
He further emphasized improving traffic flow, completing U-turns and installing awareness signboards along the highway to help prevent accidents.
