Commissioner RWP files detailed report in IHC on encroachments in Murree

RAWALPINDI: Commissioner Rawalpindi has filed detailed report on illegal constructions and encroachments in Murree in Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench. The report was filed during the separate hearing of two identical petitions by a single bench of the court led by Justice Chaudhry Abdul Aziz Monday. The court while expressing annoyance over illegal constructions in Murree and addressing Commissioner Rawalpindi remarked if the situation remains the same then the situation in Rawalpindi will further deteriorate after 25 years. The court while summoning Punjab Tourism Policy Act on next hearing adjourned the hearing of the case till February 07. Commissioner, Deputy commissioner Rawalpindi and secretary tourism Punjab were present in the court during the hearing of the case on Monday. The court inquired what is policy for purchasing land and tourism in Murree. Online
