Condolences pour in over CM Azam Khan’s death

Caretaker Chief Minister Muhammad Azam Khan passed away in Peshawar on Saturday morning. Mohammad Azam Khan, who was 89, was admitted to a private hospital on Friday night when his health deteriorated.
According to the hospital officials, Azam Khan during several health complications suffered a heart attack on Friday night and died on Saturday morning.
As the news of the KP CM’s death spread across the country, messages of condolence started pouring in.
Among those who attended the funeral prayers for Muhammad Azam Khan and visited his ancestral home to condole with the family Governor KP Haji Ghulam Ali, Caretaker Chief minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, chief minister Sindh Justice Retired Maqbool Baqer and members of the provincial cabinet.
President Arif Alvi offered prayers for the Azam Khan and extended condolences to the family members and termed his services as bureaucrat and member of interim setup in the country outstanding.
Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar also offered condolences to the family members of caretaker chief minister KP Azam Khan and prayed for the departed soul.
Former Prime Minister Sehbaz Sharif and prominent leaders of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) expressed condolences on the passing of the KP CM.
The Chief Election Commissioner also expressed that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) extends sympathy to the bereaved family of the late KP CM. He also prayed for Allah Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
Awami National Party (ANP) provincial president Aimal Wali Khan also expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Azam Khan in a statement issued here from the party headquarters Bacha Khan Markaz.
The Caretaker Interior Minister for Information Murtaza Solangi also prayed for Azam Khan’s family and described the chief minister as a gentleman and a polite person.
Leading political figures of the province including Sirajul Haq, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, Amir Haider Khan Hoti, Maulana Fazalur Rehman, Engineer Amir Muqam and, former CM Mahmood Khan and Pervaz Khattak and others also condoled the sudden death of interim CM Azam Khan and prayed for the departed souls with golden words.
The funeral prayers for the late CM Azam Khan were attended by senior in-service, retired bureaucrats, members of the interim KP cabinet, key politicians and a large number of the general public.
Muhammad Azam Khan was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Charsadda district on Saturday.
