ISLAMABAD(Online): Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said on Friday that enemies are striving to fail China-Pakistan economic Corridor (CPEC), adding that however their conspiracies would be foiled by completing the multi billion dollars corridor project within the stipulated period.
Talking to newsman in Islamabad, he said special force has been established for the security of CPEC. He added implementation of all the projects under China-Pakistan economic Corridor (CPEC) within timeframe is priority of the government.
Minister stated that earlier reservations had been raised over CPEC project but the government removed their concerns especially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
He said that Chief Minister of Balochistan Sanaullah Khan Zehri is striving for the success of CPEC project adding that all units of federal including Sindh, Gilit Baltistan, Azad Kashmir are on board in this regard.
Ahsan stated that parliamentary committee in which members of National and Senate included for monitoring are taken on board on CPEC projects .He stated that India is spreading anarchy in Balochistan and GB to fail the CPEC projects.
To a question, the minister said that Gwadar Airport and Eastbay Expressway in Gwadar are in advanced stages of approval by Chinese side and will be launched within a couple of months.
The minister said with completion of early harvest energy projects, 10,000 MW would be added in national grid by 2018. He added that an international level hospital and Technical Institute are being establishing in Gwadar.
