Former Prime Minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday claimed a conspiracy was being hatched to create split between his party and the army.
“It is being done under a plan and they want to give an impression that the PTI is anti-army,” Imran said, while addressing his party workers via video link.
Imran Khan said his party is currently the biggest national party and a conspiracy was being plotted by his political opponents to create an impression that country’s biggest party fights its own army. “These people are calling us traitors. All their money is abroad and they have numerous corruption cases but still, they call themselves patriotic,” Imran said.
PTI Chairman in his speech said that country’s current political situation is continuity of what he called ‘regime change conspiracy’. “A horrible conspiracy has been hatched to pit country’s largest political party against army,” he said.
During his speech, Imran Khan claimed that a ‘Disinfo lab’ was working during his government’s tenure. “Our social media activists exposed disinfo lab, which was constantly working against Imran Khan and the army,” he maintained.
Imran alleged that a plan was also on the plot to split his party into pieces. He said that Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) recent verdict was of no value as the case had no legal and moral base. “We have given the names of 40,000 donors. Our party has produced every transaction before the Election Commission. People have given us money and we have audit books,” he told party workers.
