ISLAMABAD: A total of 3,359 more people tested positive for COVID-19 during the last twenty-four hours, taking the total number of cases to 240,848 in the country, said National Command and Operation Centre on Thursday. Sixty-one people lost lives due to the coronavirus during the last twenty-four hours, taking the total number of deaths in the country due to COVID-19 to 4,983. A total of 24,333 tests were conducted over the last twenty-four hours. There has been an improvement in the number of recoveries from COVID-19 in Pakistan with figure now reaching 145,311. According to National Command and Operation Centre, the number of active COVID-19 cases in the country is now 90,554. Out of 1568 ventilators allocated for COVID-19, 435 are occupied across the country. TLTP
