PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Tuesday reported 250 fresh Covid cases taking the active infection count to 9,576, according to a health department report. With 16 Covid-related fatalities, the death toll in the province has reached 6,226, the report said. Among the fresh infections, Mardan reported 92 cases followed by 82 in Peshawar, and 18 cases reported in district Buner. Thirteen deaths were reported in Peshawar, two in Kohat, and one death reported in district Mardan. With 758 persons recovering from the Coronavirus infections in KP during the last 24 hours, the number of cured persons from Coronavirus has reached 199,535. KP Covid-19 daily vaccine update data showed that 29,234 people had been administered at least a single dose and 33,456 the second dose during the last 24 hours. The data regarding the total coverage of the Covid-19 said that 16,960,003 had been administered at least a single dose and the number of fully vaccinated people had reached 12201816. Moreover, the count of the total registered population on NIMS included scheduled citizens 2,306,091 and total registered citizens 15, 464,655. Health department said that during the last 24 hours 1096 corona vaccination centers, 34 mass vaccination centers, and 78 mobile vaccination centers were functioning for coronavirus vaccination in KP. According to National Command and Operation Centre Pakistan reported 961 confirmed cases of Covid-19 during the last 24 hours. In a separate development, the provincial health department recovered a huge cache of government hospitals medicine from a residential house located in the Hashtnagar area of the provincial capital, said a handout.
