Counsel for Imran Khan has cross questioned Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif in Rs one billion defamation case through video link in Sessions court Lahore.
Defamation case filed by PM Shehbaz Sharif against Imran Khan came up for hearing before additional sessions judge in sessions court Lahore.
Advocate Muhammad Hussain counsel for Imran Khan cross questioned PM during hearing of the case Saturday.
Shehbaz Sharif took oath on video link in connection with cross questioning in regard to his statement in the court. He said what he says will say truth . He will say nothing except truth.
PM said PTI founder alleged Nawaz Sharif made offer for bribe of Rs one billion through his brother. Abbas Sharif had passed away when offer was made. We only two brothers were alive.
He said that at the time of making offer by Nawaz Sharif to PTI founder only Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif were alive. It is correct that anchor did not make mention of name of any relative of Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif in private TV program.
Shehbaz Sharif said it is wrong any audio recording between Justice Malik Qayyum. Justice Ehsan Chaudhry and Shehbaz Sharif is there on media.
Shehbaz Sharif is not bound to give any statement about audio recording of justice Malik Qayyum.
During hearing, Mustafa Ramday counsel for PM Shehbaz Sharif raised objection over asking question about audio recording of justice Malik Qayyum saying asking question about recording of justice Malik Qayyum with Shehbaz Sharif is step for scandalizing.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till May 24. More cross questioning will be made on PM Shehbaz Sharif during next hearing.
