Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has approved bail plea of religious scholar Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza in the case of fomenting religious hatred and ordered to release him forthwith.
Justice Sadaqat Khan of LHC while granting bail has ordered engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza to file 2 surety bonds worth Rs 5 lac each. FIA had registered case against Muhammad Ali Mirza. According to counsel for FIA , fatwa has been issued formally against the accused. Go to trial court with fatwa. Here give arguments about bail only.

Religious scholar Muhammad ALi Mirza filed petition against FIA investigation in LHC.
FIA and Punjab Quran Board have been made respondents in the petition filed through advocate Naveed Javed Kahloon.
Muhammad Ali Mirza took the plea in the petition FIA has started investigation without giving him notice.
He has taken the plea in the petition Punjab Quran Board (PQB) has declared him sinner on the basis of old video. PQB has no powers to issue fatwa. It sees only the matters of publication of the Holy Quran.
The petitioner has requested the court to nullify the fatwa issued against him and finish the investigations.
