Court orders RWP police to trace missing former advisor to CM till Monday

Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench while reprimanding Rawalpindi police has ordered to trace the missing former advisor to Chief Minister (CM) and former chairman complaint cell Muhammad Zubair Khan till Monday.
Petition filed against disappearance of Muhammad Zubair Khan came up for hearing before single bench of LHC Rawalpindi led by Justice Chaudhry Abdul Aziz.
The court ordered interior secretary to file report within two days
The court while reprimanding Rawalpindi police ordered to trace missing Zubair Khan till Monday.
The court directed the police sternly to complete investigation into the matter of disappearance of man and inform it till March 20.
The court inquired from ASP Cantt Anam what progress has been made so far in this case.
The court while expressing dissatisfaction over Police investigation remarked police performance is zero.
The court while adjourning the hearing till March 20 directed that the investigation be completed till next date and the court be informed in this regard.
The Additional Attorney General (AAG) Malik Siddique Awan appeared in the court .
He told the court RA Bazar police have already registered case of this incident and investigation in regard to this matter is underway.
Sardar Abdul Razzaq counsel for the petitioner told the court the state agencies have lifted the abducted person and nothing is being told about him since the last 8 days.
The court expressed resentment over the poor investigation of police remarking an alive person has been lifted openly and he has been disappeared. But police could not trace the vehicle and its owner so far.
DG FIA and DG Anti Corruption expressed their ignorance about arrest of Zubair Ahmad Khan in their written reply.
The court summoned the report from interior secretary within two days.
The court while ordering police to trace the kidnapped person adjourned the hearing of the case till March 20.
Saad Ahmad son of the kidnapped person had filed petition against the kidnapping of his father in Lahore High court Rawalpindi bench. Federal and provincial governments, interior secretary, secretary defence, IG Punjab, DG FIA and DG Anti corruption were made respondents.
The petitioner had taken plea in his petition that his father Zubair Khan was lifted forcibly on the night of March 8 near home and he was shifted to some unknown location. All the efforts were made to contact him but nothing has become known about him. Nothing is being told about him as well. Protecting life and property of the citizens is basic responsibility of state. The state institutions are forcibly kidnapping the citizens. The court should issue order to release his father.
