SWABI: Local court has sent former speaker National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaisar on judicial remand to jail. Anti Corruption Swabi presented PTI leader Asad Qaisar in the court of judicial magistrate Muhammad Khalil Khan in corruption case Thursday. PTI workers in larger number were present there on the occasion of appearance of Asad Qaisar in the court. Therefore, stringent security measures were taken. During the hearing of the case Arshid advocate, counsel for Asad Qaisar said we will file bail plea in Anti Corruption court after Asad Qaisar becomes judicial. Later the court sent Asad Qaisar to jail on judicial remand for allegedly committing corruption in the purchase of medical equipment for Gajju Khan medical college Swabi. Online
British Council, EZDMC discuss industry advisory taskforce group
PESHAWAR: An interactive session was held between British Council Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KP-EZDMC) to discuss the formation of industry advisory taskforce group in Hattar Economic Zone (HEZ), said a press release issued here on Thursday. The purpose of holding the session was to promote a sectoral approach in the food and beverage sector that requires collaboration between industry and academia to improve the skills development in selected sectors. The Group will promote inclusive wellbeing and access to learning and opportunities for growth in the food and beverage sector.
The session was also attended by representatives from Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), Hattar Industrial Association, University of Haripur, and Pak-Austria Fachhochschule to make it a collaborative and forward-thinking initiative.
