Court upholds non bailable arrest warrants of KP CM

ISLAMABAD: The case of for allegedly delivering misleading, defamatory statements against state institutions and hurting their prestige by Chief Minister (CM) KP Sohail Afridi came up for hearing in District and Sessions Court Islamabad. Senior civil judge Abbas Shah while expressing resentment over continued absence of Sohail Afridi during the hearing of the case ordered to uphold his non bailable arrest warrants. The court cautioned if Sohail Afridi did not appear on next hearing then proceedings to declare him proclaimed offender will be initiated. It is pertinent to mention here NCCIA has registered case against Sohail Afridi under PECA act. The court adjourned the hearing of the case till September 3. ONLINE
