As part of the NEPRA Public Safety Awareness Campaign 2025, a series of community engagement activities were conducted by China Power Hub Generation Company across various locations in District Hub, Balochistan. The campaign focused on educating the public about electrical safety and the steps to take during emergencies or extreme weather conditions.
To ensure maximum visibility, awareness banners featuring NEPRA’s five safety guidelines in both English and Urdu were displayed at strategic locations including hospitals, technical institutions, and community centers. These banners served as constant reminders to encourage safe practices in daily life.
The initiative kicked off at the ZAB-Tech Government Technical and Vocational Training Center, where over 60 students and 10 faculty members attended a session focused on safety precautions, emergency response, and basic guidelines for electricians. Refreshments were distributed at the end to maintain engagement.
At Abbas Goth village, residents including elders, youth, and children participated in a session that highlighted public safety during electrical accidents and adverse weather. The respectful attention of the attendees reflected their strong interest in learning.
A separate session at Jam Ghulam Qadir Government Hospital addressed the dangers of heat and electricity-related incidents. Hospital staff and patient attendants actively asked questions and showed eagerness to improve their emergency response knowledge.
The campaign also reached industrial professionals through a session held in collaboration with the Baluchistan Environment Protection Agency and LIEDA. Attendees from various nearby industries received a detailed briefing on NEPRA’s safety principles and were encouraged to apply them in their work environments.
An outreach session was also conducted at the company-adopted TCF School in Gaddani, where students were not only taught about weather preparedness but were also encouraged to engage in plantation as a form of social responsibility.
To further broaden the campaign’s impact, the safety guidelines were shared through the company’s official social media platforms, including LinkedIn, and Facebook.
Through its multi-channel approach combining education, visual reminders, and social outreach NEPRA’s campaign successfully delivered its message: awareness is the first step toward a safer community.
