Crackdown against motorcyclists without helmets launched

PESHAWAR: City Traffic Police has launched a special crackdown on motorcyclists without helmet and fined more than 26,000 people and collected Rs 2.6 million. According to traffic police that the collected fines have been submitted into national exchequer. It said that all motorcyclists should avoid dangerous accidents by avoiding traveling without helmets. According to details, on the special instructions of Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat, City Traffic Police Peshawar had directed crackdown on motorcyclists without helmets to prevent accidents. During the actions motorcyclists across the district city traffic police has issued challans to 26,988 motorcyclists, from whom Rs 2,698,800 has been deposited in the exchequer as fines. It may be recalled that the Traffic Police conducts regular training programs to enforce the traffic rules and make the citizens aware of the traffic rules. Haqnawaz’shinwari
