Pakistan cricket team’s legendary all-rounder Shadab Khan has become a part of the Parks & Horticulture Authority’s (PHA) tree plantation campaign.
The national cricketer reached the Potohar (NA 52) Park, Rawalpindi on Monday to participate in the Monsoon Plantation Drive. Upon arrival he was welcomed by Director General PHA Ahmed Hassan Ranjha and senior staff of the authority.
As a part of the PHA plantation drive, Shadab Khan planted a sapling in the park and also appreciated the sports activities organized by PHA Rawalpindi.
DG Parks and Horticulture Authority Ahmad Hasan Ranjha said that the PHA would continue to patronize sports and athletic activities in Rawalpindi.
Shadab Khan along with DGPHA Ahmed Hasan Ranjha reviewed the ongoing activities regarding the sports in the parks of Rawalpindi.
The former vice skipper of the national squad praised the sports activities organized by the PHA and urged the people particularly the youth to plant trees for a better, greener and cleaner future of Pakistan. He also appreciated the ongoing initiatives regarding the plantation drive of PHA.
DG Parks and Horticulture Authority Rawalpindi Ahmed Hasan Ranjha thanked Shadab Khan for being a part of the PHA plantation drive.
The national players will inspire the youth towards plantations and will play their role in dealing with the challenges faced by the environmental challenges, said Ranjha.
He further said that the PHA was patronizing national and traditional sports in Rawalpindi and used to host sports activities in Rawalpindi.
Ranjha said that the authority was also providing the youth with the best environment for sports and physical exercise in parks of Rawalpindi as major sports academies are operating in parks of Rawalpindi.
