Crude oil prices inch up

ISLAMABAD: Crude oil prices continued upward trend in the international market on Thursday. At 1525 hours GMT, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was trading at $48.31 a barrel after gaining $0.49 (+1.02 percent) while Brent crude was available at $51.51 a barrel with an increase of $0.43 (+0.84 percent) as compared to their values on Wednesday last. Meanwhile, price for Opec Basket was recorded at $49.61 a barrel after losing $0.04 (-0.08 percent), Arab Light was available at $51.55 a barrel with an increase of $1.08 (+2.14 percent) while price of Russian Urals remained $39.60 a barrel without any change.
