ISLAMABAD
Oil prices slid on Friday, adding to overnight declines, on worries that refineries shut by a big freeze in the US South will take some time to revive operations and dent crude demand.
At 1600 hours GMT, Brent, the international benchmark for two-thirds of the world’s oil, was trading at $63.67 a barrel after losing 0.41 percent.
The US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures shed 0.81 percent to $60.03 a barrel. The price for Opec Basket was recorded at $63.43 a barrel with 1.52 percent increase, Arab Light was available at $62.27 a barrel after a decrease of 3.14 percent while price of Russian Urals remained unchanged at $42.22 a barrel.
