Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that we feel ashamed when we go out with bagger bowl (kishkul).
Further he said that crying and looking into the past will not work. PTI spoiled the future of the nation, played with the economy, played with the fate of Pakistan in 2018, lost 77 billion rupees of the nation, who will account for it?
Addressing the opening ceremony of the development projects at the Governor House Lahore on Sunday Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that on 10th of Muharram, all the assemblies and processions ended peacefully. PM paid tribute to the federal and provincial interior ministers, administration and security institutions for the best security arrangements on Muharram.
He also congratulated the administration. He laid the foundation stone of the project of building a medical city on the model of Pakistan Kidney & Liver Institute (PKLI) in Lahore.
Punjab and the federal government will complete the project together, the medical city of Lahore will be equal to any medical city in the world. He said that unfortunately a part of the ring road was left when the 7 km project on the ring road was completed. If it happens then people will get convenience, people will benefit a lot from SL3 project, FWO is working on this project.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the foundation stone of important projects of public interest was laid in the Governor House.
He maintained that foundation stone of the metro bus extension project from Shahdara to Kalashah Kako has also been laid, campuses of many educational institutions are coming up in Kalashah Kako, this project will be completed in 5 months, I would request that Kalashah Kako project 3 to be completed in 4 months.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the foundation stone of the natural gas-powered project of 550 megawatts has been laid and project was launched in a transparent manner. This was the second project to run on LNG, in this project we saved Rs 12.80 billion.
Further he said the previous government stopped this project. Billions of rupees were wasted due to the criminal negligence of the previous government. Chairman PTI poisoned the minds of the youth, the economy was doomed during the previous regime.
It was said that we will revive the economy again, we will end poverty and unemployment, there is full hope that the youth will become architects of the country by getting education in agriculture, minerals and IT. We will make our youth a true leaders of the country. A leader in true sense of Iqbal’s dream

He said in 2018, the game was played with the fate of Pakistan, 77 billion rupees of the nation were lost. To whom we held accountable of all this? Such a project in which the wealth of the nation was looted, no one even cares. No one realizes where the nation’s wealth has been lost. Tell me in what crime 77 billion rupees were lost? This is not the only such incident, in the 75 years of history, countless incidents have become a part of history.
Crying and looking into the past will not work, there must be clear and transparent accountability, he added.
He said that if oppression and abuse happened, it cannot be ignored, the journey of development is determined by commitment and passion, not by magic wand, good projects were destroyed. The country’s economy was destroyed during the chairman PTI’s tenure, the bad governance of the previous government has brought Pakistan to this state. Due to PTI’s sit-in, the visit of the Chinese President was postponed. It was said that the future of this nation was spoiled.
The future of this nation was spoiled and the economy was destroyed, he maintained.
He further said that before the arrival of the Chinese President in 2014, there was an arson attack, there were electricity projects in the CPEC projects, sit-ins were allowed. Sharif was asked to do something. Chairman PTI refused. otherwise we will not end the sit-in.
Earlier, the foundation stone ceremony of development projects in Lahore was held at the Governor House.
PM attended the event as a special guest.
He was briefed about the projects. Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman, Federal Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir, Provincial Health Minister Dr. Javed Akram, Lahore Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa and other senior officials were present in the ceremony.
