CS, IGP call on CM discuss law and order in KP

Newly appointed Chief Secretary Imdadullah Bosal met with Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Azam Khan here on Monday and discussed various issues related to administration and good governance in the province.
In the meeting they discussed matters related to peaceful, fair and transparent conduct of general elections.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated Imdadullah Bosal on assuming the new responsibilities as Chief Secretary.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Moazzam Jah Ansari also met with the Chief Minister and discussed issues related to improving law and order in the province.
Meanwhile, Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Azam Khan has taken notice of wearing uniforms by private security guards of some political leaders similar to the official uniforms of law enforcing agencies.
In a statement issued here on Monday, he directed the Chief Secretary, Inspector General of Police and the Home Department to take necessary steps to effectively prevent such practice by private security guards and to ensure that uniforms of all private security guards are totally different than those of the official uniforms of law-enforcing agencies.
The Chief Minister has said that it has been observed that some private security guards of individuals were wearing uniforms similar to those of the law enforcing agencies during political gatherings in recent days adding that such practice on the part of private security guards is not only illegal but also creates confusion for the personnel of LEAs, and the same could lead to any untoward incident which requires timely steps to be prevented.
He also urged the political leaders to take care that their private security guards are not dressed in uniforms similar to those of LEAs.
