PESHAWAR: Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr Shahzad Khan Bangash has directed all district administrations to ensure preparedness and remain vigilant amid ongoing monsoon season. He gave the instructions while chairing a video link meeting with divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners of the province here on Tuesday. Dr Shahzad Khan Bangash said natural calamities cannot be prevented, but better preparedness can reduce the losses that accompany disasters to a considerable extent. On this occasion, deputy commissioners briefed the forum about preparations and relief operations at the district level. CS-KP lauded the relief operations and timely response of district administrations and relevant departments during recent flash floods in Tank, Dera Ismail Khan, Charsadda and Swabi. He directed the officials of the district administrations to continue preparations and keep a close watch on flash floods and flood situation during monsoon rains. DLP Report
