CSLG holds 1st national condolence reference at Alhamra

Yawar Mehdi leads 1st-ever tribute to all luminaries who served Pakistan

The Civil Services Legacy Guild (CSLG) organised the 1st National Condolence Reference at Alhamra Hall, Lahore, to pay tribute to the late illustrious civil servants & luminaries of society who served the nation from 1947 to 2025. The event was jointly organized by the Civil Services Academy’s 53rd CTP Probationers. An opportunity has been provided to the Probationers from CSA to hold this remarkable event. These probationers provided facilitation services to the honourable guests, including receiving and arranging their seating according to the required protocol & SOPs.
The condolence reference started with recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Muneer Muhannadi and Na’at Rasool-e-Maqbool (SAW) by the probationer of CSA, Ms. Maria Zeb Awan. The condolence reference officially started with the keynote address/resolution by the esteemed patron-in-chief, Naguib Ullah Malik. The condolence reference resolution was fully endorsed by all the participants during the event. Afterwards, esteemed speakers addressed condolence reference, including Farhan Aziz Khawaja, Salman Siddique, Dr. Amjad Saqib, Kamran Lashari, Sohail Ahmad Azizi and Tariq Mahmood, who shared their heartfelt condolences & fond memories about the everlasting legacy of the departed civil servants. The distinguished speakers highlighted significant contributions of these noble souls who were selected for their exceptional calibre and dedication to public service. They remarked that their commitment to excellence, hard work and sincerity of purpose left a lasting impact on the future civil servants by dint of their sheer hard work and devotion in their duties.
Mr. Yawar Mehdi, Founder CSLG, Retired Secretary/Chief Comptroller, CMO, Government of the Punjab, played a pivotal role in holding the Ist National Condolence Reference under the newly established Civil Services Legacy Guild (CSLG). He announced that the second event of the condolence reference will be held in Islamabad in the near future. Furthermore, this commemorative condolence reference will be held yearly.
Civil Services Legacy Guild acknowledged the meritorious services of these esteemed civil servants and paid tribute to their commendable services by all the participants.
At the end of the condolence ceremony, prominent Na’at Khawan Marghoob Ahmad Hamdani offered dua and fateha for the forgiveness of the departed souls. The national anthem was also played in the concluding ceremony.
