Following the instructions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Akhtar Hayat Khan, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Qamar Hayat Khan launched a comprehensive awareness programm about traffic rules and regulations.
According to handout, CTO Peshawar has decided to monitor all awareness sessions to inform citizens about traffic rules.
Citizens are being informed about traffic rules on digital screens in Cantt Division.
Mr Khan has said that City Traffic Police would also launch a crackdown on those violates traffic rules.
In the first phase, SP Education Shazia Shahid and team informed citizens in different sectors about seat belt, use of helmet, over speeding, overloading and giving up the use of mobile phone while traveling.
In his message, Qamar Hayat asked road users to act responsibly and leave before the scheduled time so that they can travel safely to their destination while a few minutes of haste can ruin their home.
He said that avoid traveling in an unsafe manner, taking special care of your own and others’ lives, including following civil traffic rules.
