ISLAMABAD: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Capital police apprehended two members of a dacoit’ gang involved in robbery and recovered looted cash and weapons from their possession, a police public relations officer said. He said that, following the directions of DIG Operations Sohail Zafar chatha, the CIA police team has evolved a comprehensive strategy in order to counter criminal elements involved in dacoity and theft incidents from federal capital, a police public relations officer said. He said, the CIA police team under the supervision of SSP Investigation Farhat Abbas Kazmi, used the latest technology and human resources and arrested two members of a notorious dacoit gang who were involved in robbing people in the PS Golra area jurisdiction. Police team also recovered Rs 0.5 million cash and 30 bore pistol with ammunition from their possession. The accused were identified as Ahmed Nawaz and Shabir Ahmed Cases against nominated accused have been registered and further investigation is underway. DNA
