DC Charsadda Football League inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Charsadda

Deputy Commissioner Charsadda Football League got under way here at Abdul Wali Khan Sports Complex Charsadda wherein eight teams from all over the district are participating.
Deputy Commissioner Charsadda Captain (Retd) Abdul Rehman was the chief guest at the inaugural function. District Sports Officer Charsadda Tehseenullah, Administrator Imran Khan and other important personalities were present on the occasion. Three teams from Tehsil Shabqadar and Tehsil Charsadda and two teams from Tehsil Tangi are participating in the Football League.
Before selecting teams at Tehsil level of the District Charsadda, 32 teams each participated in Inter-Club Championship at Tehsil Charsadda and Tehsil Shabqadar wherein eight clubs took part in the Tehsil Tangai Inter-Club. Soon after closure of the Inter-Club League at Tehsil level, the Charsadda Football League was started with a total of eight teams taking part.
In the first match Markhor beat Tangi Star by 3-0, Obaid, Irfan and Imtiaz scored one goal each for Makhor while Shabqadar Dragon defeated Shabqadar Shark by 3-2. For Shabqadar Dragon Inyat Ullah, Haris Ahmad and Javed Ali scored one goal each while for Shabqadar Shark Tufail Khan and Saeed Bacha scored one goal each.
Speaking on this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Abdur Rehman termed such activities very vital for the youth of Charsadda District. He said the district administration would take all out efforts in facilitating the youth of the district to take active participation in sports.
He said, it is very important for physical and mental development due to sports one should stay away from negative activities. He said that if the players play with confidence and hard work, success will surely follow in their footsteps and players like Messi and Ronaldo can come out of here.
He also appreciated the players and their parents who extended a helping hand for their children to take part in sports. He said soon parents of all the participating football players and players of the other games would be called to have a meeting besides paying them tribute in supporting their kids for the healthy activities.
Parents would also have a big hand in making a successful player and yes, they also work hard so a function will be organized to pay tribute to them. Finally, he assured the District Sports Office, Charsadda, of full cooperation from the district administration.
