KOHAT: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohat Mohammad Roshan promulgated order under Section 144 CR PC on the eve of forth coming Eidul Fitr/Chand Raat and banned fire crackers/toy guns and their sale, carrying of weapons in public places & aerial firing, swimming in Dams/Rivers and one wheel driving in the entire district for next 30 days. “According to the information that during Ramazan as well as on the eve of forth coming Eidul Fitr/Chand Raat, the general public specially youngsters are likely to resort to some activities which may cause damage to the life and property and can also create sense of insecurity and fear amongst the general public”, states the order issued by the DC on Tuesday, adding Muhammad Roshan Deputy Commissioner does hereby promulgate order U/S 144 Cr PC with immediate effect”. This order will be effective immediately for one-month period and the violation of this order is punishable U/S 188 of the Penal Code of Pakistan (PPC). DLP Report
