DC reviews arrangements for anti-polio drive in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: An important meeting held here on Friday with the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shafiullah Khan in the chair, reviewed preparations for the upcoming anti-polio drive in the provincial capital. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Relief) Muhammad Imran Khan, District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Muhammad Idrees, Deputy District Polio Officer Dr Naveed Khurshid, and Deputy District Polio Officer Dr Saifullah. The forum deliberated over the arrangements for the anti-polio campaign in Peshawar. The forum was informed that during the drive 866,603 children would be administered polio drops. It added that 2496 teams have been designated for the drive. DC Peshawar Shafiullah Khan made an appeal to parents to cooperate with the polio teams and administer polio drops to their children. He said that family member’s cooperation would help the provincial government to eradicate polio from the province and Peshawar. DLP Report
