Decisive deliberations next week to import Russian oil, petroleum and gas

ISLAMABAD: Final deliberations between Islamabad and Moscow will be taking place next week to import Russian oil and petroleum products, Online reported. According to sources, the negotiations will take place in Islamabad from January 18-20. A high level delegation lead by Russian Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov will land in Islamabad on January 17. The delegation will include highest Russian officials from ministries of Energy, Railways, Communication and Commerce and Industry. The government has decided to import crude oil and other energy products at 30 percent concessional rates from Russia. This in return, will add 2 billion dollars to Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves. Pakistan’s refineries have also okayed the import of Russian crude oil as a feasible project. Our Correspondent
