Dense fog prevails in various cities of Punjab

Lahore (Online): The dense fog continuously engulfed various cities of Punjab, due to which various sections of Motorway were closed for traffic while the flight schedule were also affected in current circumstances.
The dense fog engulfed Lahore, Sheikhupura, Pindi Bhattain, and Faisalabad and adjourning areas, due to which the traffic flow was affected badly in the province as various roads of Motorway were shut down for traffic.
The Motorway M-2 from Lahore to Pindi Bhattian M-3 from Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad and M-4 from Gojra to Faisalabad remained closed for all kinds of traffic due to zero Visibility. Meanwhile, the traffic flow on National Highway also remained disrupted.
Visibility was also reduced to zero in Pattoki, Okara, Mian Chunnu and Toba Tek Singh and adjourning areas.
The Motorway Police has advised the vehicle drivers to avoid unnecessary traveling and use fog lights and drive at low speed. He advised the driver to be cautious and avoid using cell phones during journey.
With heavy fog prevailing in Punjab, the flight schedule was also badly affected as several flights could not take off from Lahore, Multan and Sialkot Airports.
