Deputy Speaker National Assembly (NA) Qasim Khan Suri has resigned from his office .
The resignation has been received by the National Assembly’s Secretary office.
Qasim Khan Suri was facing a no confidence motion..

A no confidence motion which was submitted in National Assembly against Qasim Khan Suir figured on Saturday agenda of National Assembly.

The no-confidence resolution against National Assembly Deputy Speaker was submitted on April 8 by Murtaza Javed Abbasi of the PML-N.
The resolution said, the deputy speaker had “repeatedly violated the rules, parliamentary practices, democratic norms and traditions, and even Constitutional provisions and when presiding over the House, failed to conduct proceedings in an orderly manner to enable productive debate on issues of public importance”.

Suri has written in his resignation he tendered resignation from his office as per party vision. the resignation is symbol of his deep affiliation with PTI.

We will never compromise on the integity and sovereignty of the country and will go to every extent to safeguard the independence of the country, he added.
