In May 2018, under the 25th amendment of the Constitution of Pakistan, Mohmand Agency of former FATA was given the status of a district. In Mohmand district the security forces including the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps North have not only completed large number of important development projects including schools, small hospitals, dispensaries, health centers, clean water supply projects, infrastructure and communication in a short period of time, but also several projects are underway.
The number of schools completed in remote areas of district Mohmand (including newly constructed schools and reconstruction of already constructed schools) is 38, including primary and middle schools for boys and girls. Similarly, special measures are being taken by FCKP North regarding health and not only new community health centers have been constructed, but the reconstruction of existing small hospitals and dispensaries is also in progress. So far 09 community health centers, small hospitals and basic health units have been established in district Mohmand from which the people of Mohmand are benefiting. The security Forces launched large-scale water supply schemes to ensure the supply of clean water to the locals. So far, 43 clean water supply projects have been completed in remote areas of district Mohmand. And to continue the supply of clean water, the Security Forces have also installed solar systems.
The security forces have completed the construction of large and small roads on a large scale to make the communication system efficient in Mohmand district. Work is going on rapidly in many areas for smooth movement of tranposrt so that commercial activities can continue in the area. Along with this, through other important community-based projects, work is also going on in Mohmand district on other projects including mosques, bus stands, markets.
With the efforts of the security forces, Mohmand district is moving towards new heights of development. The time is not far when this district will also play an important role in the economic development of Pakistan.
