Development projects initiates in Tirah Valley

After repatriation of Internal Displaced Persons (IDPs) of Mehraban Kelly and adjacent villages of Tirah Valley, development schemes have been commenced to facilitate the tribesmen of the remote areas at their door steps.
Following completion of repatriation of IDPs from Mehraban to Suraee, Rajagal, Koki Khel, on the assurance of the Deputy Commissioner, Khyber, Shah Fahad made in open court session last week to start new era of progress, different government departments have started masses welfare projects in the area.
In this connection, the district agriculture department has adopted an initiative and started leveling agriculture fields in the area.
Director of agriculture department Ziaul Islam Dawar said that in first phase necessary machineries have been supplied to the locality to make the decade’s barren fields plane so that the tribesmen can start cultivation for their livelihood.
All needed measures will be adopted and support will be extended to the growers to revise agriculture in Mehraban Kelly and the surrounding villages, he added.
The tribesmen appreciated the constructive step taken by the government to resume routine life in Tirah Valley and urged them to help in their restoration.
During war on terror, their houses, orchards and other properties have lost besides infrastructure has been destroyed in the area that needs to be compensated and rebuilt, they remarked.
