PESHAWAR
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Irrigation Arshad Ayub Khan has said that ongoing developmental projects in Haripur district aimed for prosperity and development for all, adding that the transportation system would be made on modern lines to facilitate common man.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of the Communication & Works (C&W) department regarding ongoing projects in Haripur district here on Thursday.
On this occasion he said that completion of ongoing development projects in Haripur district would bring prosperity and raise living standards of the people.
Construction and rehabilitation of roads projects are being carried out by the C&W department which will facilitate the transportation of the locals, he added.
Arshad Ayub Khan said that the construction work should be carried out in a timely manner so that the people do not face any difficulty and will benefit as much as possible.
XEN C&W Haripur Tahira Begum briefed the Minister Irrigation on the issues faced in the projects. Other officials of C&W District Haripur were also present in the meeting.
In addition, the Provincial Minister for Irrigation met various delegations from Haripur District.
The delegations apprised the Provincial Minister of the problems faced in their respective areas.
Talking to the delegations, Arshad Ayub said that the approval for setting up a family park in Haripur has been given by DDWP.
The family park will be constructed on 200 kanals of land at an estimated cost of Rs 199 million while land will be purchased at a cost of Rs 28 million, he shared.
