The District Administration Karak has directed the officials to ensure dignified and timely provision of Iftar to the deserving citizens under the government’s Ramazan Dastarkhwan initiative.
Acting on directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Government, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Karak, Sahibzada Samiullah, visited the Ramazan Dastarkhwan set up at Jail Chowk to review the arrangements for food distribution, cleanliness, quality of meals and security measures.
He directed the authorities concerned to maintain daily provision of hygienic and quality Iftar meals so that needy people, labourers and travellers could benefit in a respectful manner and without delay.
“Ramazan is a month of blessings and compassion, and serving the underprivileged remains among the government’s top priorities,” Samiullah said, adding that the initiative aims to provide relief to vulnerable segments of the society by ensuring access to free Iftar.
He further directed the officials to maintain discipline at the site and ensure separate and facilitative arrangements for women, the elderly and persons with special needs.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner appreciated the performance of the administration and staff, reaffirming the government’s commitment to continue such welfare measures in a transparent and effective manner so that maximum beneficiaries could be reached.
