District police chalk out foolproof security plan for Yaum-i-Ali (AS) processions

The district police on Friday chalked out a comprehensive security plan on the occasion of Ramadan 21, the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (AS) to be observed on Saturday.
District Police Chief Najam-ul-Hasnain Liaqat presiding over a meeting here with dignitaries of Shia sect assured foolproof security arrangements for processions to be carried out from different parts of the city.
On the occasion the DPO said that about 400 police officials would perform their duties on the occasion of Yaum-i-Ali, while walk-through gates would be installed at all entry and exit points of the processions, Imambarghas and mosques.
SDPO City Saghir Gilani said that all available resources would be used for the security of gatherings and mourning processions in Dera.
Other dignitaries including Syed Fayyaz Hussain Bukhari, Qari Allama Muhammad Ramzan Tauqeer, Tanveer Mehdi, Syed Alamdar Hussain, Bashir Hussain Jariya and Syed Ansar Ali Zaidi were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile the district administration imposed section 144 in the district and banned pillion riding and display of arms till May 05.
