Tussle between the district management group (DMG) and the DG anti-corruption in Punjab continues as the Punjab law department has sent the summary for clipping the powers of the latter in response to the registration of cases against secretary excise and DG Sports on his order to the additional chief secretary.

It is the chief secretary who gives permission for registering cases against the commissioner, deputy commissioner, grade-20 and grade-21 officers or arresting them.
