DPM/FM Dar stresses adoption of digital technologies to provide services to overseas Pakistanis

Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Tuesday, stressed the adoption of digital technologies to provide various services to overseas Pakistanis, obviating the need for physical presence.

He also emphasized that the Pakistani diaspora was contributing substantially to Pakistan’s economy through remittances.

The DPM/FM chaired a meeting today to review the issues faced by overseas Pakistanis, the Office of the DPM/FM said in a press release.

The meeting was attended by the Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis, Chairman, Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Secretary IPC, and other relevant stakeholders.

The DPM/FM was apprised of the various initiatives taken so far by the government, in consultation with prominent overseas diaspora representatives, to resolve the issues faced by our diaspora, as well as new initiatives undertaken for their facilitation.
