District Police Officer Imran Khan chaired a meeting of police officer to review security arrangements in Khyber district on Wednesday.
The meeting reviewed overall law and order situation and the actions taken by the police in various areas.
The DPO directed SHOs of police stations to ensure presence as well as safety of the cops performing duties at various checkposts and other places and also make sure the use of bulletproof jackets and helmets.
He said disciplinary action would be taken against the SHO concerned over violation of laws. He said that police should deal with public politely and maintain order in their respective areas.
