Dr Khan Shehzada, Professor, University of Engineering & Technology Peshawar, has been shortlisted for the post of Vice Chancellor of universities in Punjab.
this regard, the Punjab Higher Education Department has summoned him to the Higher Education Commission Lahore for an interview.
Prof Dr Khan Shehzada has extensive academic, research and teaching experience and has published two books and over 70 research articles on civil engineering. He completed HEC-funded research projects worth Rs. 45 million. He remained the Director Postgraduate Studies and Chief Proctor of the University of Engineering Peshawar.
Dr Khan Shahzada is currently serving as a member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s Provincial Housing Task Force on Affordable Housing, which is part of the Prime Minister’s 5 Million Homes Initiative. He is also a member of the Program Evaluation Committee panel of the Pakistan Engineering Council while as a geotechnical and structural expert in various government departments, he has increased the revenue of his university by Rs. 45 million.
Dr Khan Shahzada has been the supervisor of 60 MSc and three PhD students in the university while he also continues to collaborate with researchers from the United States, Canada, Italy, Turkey and Hong Kong.
