Vice Chancellor of Quaid-e-Azam University, Dr. Niaz Ahmed Akhtar, along with Murtaza Noor, National Coordinator for the Inter-Universities Consortium, visited the CDA Headquarters on Tuesday.
On this occasion, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa appreciated the participation of university students in the Tree Plantation Campaign at the designated site in the Margalla Hills, named “Quaid-e-Azam Enclave.”
He mentioned that special incentives in the form of marks should be given to encourage students if they are able to successfully grow and take care of their planted trees at the time of graduation.
The CDA Chairman proposed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) needs to be signed with Quaid-e-Azam University to offer internships opportunities to the university’s students within the CDA.
The students from the various departments including Environment, IT, HR and others relevant will be provided the opportunities in this internship program.
During the visit, future CDA projects were discussed with the Vice Chancellor of Quaid-e-Azam University, including briefings on the Silicon Valley and Four-Tier Data Center projects for IT and telecommunications.
The possibility of establishing linkage with these projects with the university was explored, which could create thousands of job opportunities for young people.
Besides, the graduating students from IT department can assist CDA in conducting a special cybersecurity audit.
The Vice Chancellor stated that Quaid-e-Azam University would provide the best human resources in the form of fresh graduates for these projects.
CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa also mentioned that the ongoing work on Second Avenue near Quaid-e-Azam University will be completed soon linking with Margalla Road. He emphasized that CDA will make all out efforts and utilize all available resources to facilitate the university’s students.
