On the special direction of Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan Tribal District (SWTD) Amjad Meraj, Additional Assistant Commissioner Wana Dr. Sadiq Ali along with Tehsildar Wana, Naib Tehsildar Birmal, Area Moharirs and DSP Wana along with Sheikh Bazid Tribe (Ji Khel and Dari Khel) and Sarki Khel Tribe on Ghundak land dispute. Held successful jirga with the elders
Dr. Sadiq Ali efforts came to fruition. After detailed negotiations, the two sides agreed to ensure peace in the region until the dispute is resolved through court or ADR rules.
The grievances of both the parties were resolved and a final jirga was convened on the issue.
Additional Assistant Commissioner wana strongly instructed them to ensure peace and reduce tensions.
Police and FC officials were also present on the occasion.
It should be noted that for a long time there has been a land dispute at Ghundak between these tribes in Birmal Tehsil.
