QUETTA: After the appointment of District Returning Officers (DRO) and Returning Officers (RO) for the general elections 2024, their immediate comprehensive training has started today from 13 December 2023. Election Commission has completed all the training arrangements. Senior Election Commission officers will train all District Returning Officers and Returning Officers. These officers will be given training on election process, election laws and other administrative matters related to elections. Arrangements have been made to give one day training to 142 District Returning Officers on 16 December 2023 in all four provincial headquarters. It includes 40 District Returning Officers from Punjab, 36 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 36 from Balochistan and 30 from Sindh. Among them are 441 returning officers of Punjab, 160 returning officers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 191 returning officers of Sindh and 67 returning officers of Balochistan. A total of 859 returning officers will undergo training.
