PESHAWAR
The provincial minister for irrigation Arshad Ayub Khan has said that the provincial government has introduced an online system to carry out its affairs in an acute transparent way, adding that the E-bidding system in the irrigation department was launched to utilize government funds for the welfare of the public.
He expressed these views while presiding over the meeting held in the Committee Room of the irrigation department regarding the damages caused to the properties of the department due to floods.
Irrigation Secretary Ayaz Khan, Additional Secretary Nawaz Khan, Chief Engineer South Nasir Ghafoor Khan, Chief Engineer North Ghulam Ishaq Khan, Chief Engineer Joint Districts Aamir Qeebbal, DG Small Dams Sahibzada Shabbir and other relevant officials of the irrigation department attended the meeting.
The provincial minister was given a detailed briefing on the damage caused to the properties of the Irrigation Department due to e-budding and the recent floods and the progress made so far regarding their restoration.
He issued instructions to quarters concerned to take practical steps to irrigate the crops timely from the Munda-Headworks.
Arshad Ayub Khan directed rehabilitation activities across the province. In the meeting, the relevant authorities informed the provincial minister about the difficulties and problems faced in the rehabilitation works.
Mr Arshad held a weekly review meeting to review the rehabilitation works Orders were also issued regarding further improvement in the e-Budding system while instructing to organize.
