Earthquake of 5.9 magnitude jolts Rawalpindi, Islamabad and other cities in KP, Punjab


Federal Capital Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and several other cities of Pakistan were jolted by 5.9 magnitude earthquake at 09.18 a.m Saturday.

According to National Seismic Monitoring Centre, Islamabad The quake was at a depth of 210 km with the centre in Hindukush Region, Afghanistan.

Sargodha city and surrounding areas also felt the lighter shocks of quake.

Local residents panicked and came out of their homes reciting Kalma Tayyaba.
